Performing Arts and Technology 201: Microcomputers and Music

Introduction to microcomputers and synthesizers with MIDI. Study of MIDI, music sequencing, and notation software. Compositions and arrangements are required.

Fall 2000, Professor Bloom

I found this class very interesting. For the first project, I sequenced two passages from Mozart's Requiem. The second two projects were original compositions. The final project was an original composition utilizing the character Tank from the movie The Matrix saying "Everything the body needs" in a building layered approach styled after minimalist Steve Reich.
