Hi there! I am a final-year Ph.D. student at Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at MIT, advised by Prof. Dina Katabi.
I also work closely with Prof. Marzyeh Ghassemi (MIT) and Prof. Shwetak Patel (UW).
Before joining MIT, I received my B.S. with honors from Peking University.
My research is supported by Takeda PhD Fellowship (2023), Baidu PhD Scholarship (2022), and MathWorks PhD Fellowship (2021 & 2022).
My research lies in the intersection of machine learning and applications in human disease, health and medicine.
-
AI for Disease and Medicine: I work on using AI to enable discovery of digital biomarkers for complex human diseases, from early diagnosis [Nature Medicine'22] to longitudinal progression tracking [Science Trans. Medicine'22].
-
Intelligent & Accessible Health Sensing: I build AI systems for healthcare delivery beyond clinics, e.g., in-home health & disease monitoring [UbiComp'20, Front. Psychiatry'21], camera-based contactless vitals sensing [ICLR'23 oral].
-
Trustworthy & Equitable ML: I develop reliable ML algorithms that are deployable in high-stakes applications, focusing on fairness [ICML'21 oral, ICML'23] and generalization [NeurIPS'20, ECCV'22] across diverse populations and real shifts.
I am on the 2023-2024 academic job market. Please feel free to reach out if you have potential positions.
