Find a Mentor

Teams are encouraged to work with advisors and mentors to help them develop their ideas. Many people with a particular expertise and experience have applied to become mentors, including MIT faculty members, alumni, and local and international community partners.

If your team would like a mentor, please email Alison at ideas-admin@mit.edu or fill out the form below. Briefly explain what your IDEAS project is, and list any particular skills or areas of knowledge that you would particularly like your mentor to have. We will do our best to match you up with a suitable mentor from our database. We can't guarantee to find someone with specialized skills, but we will try.

What is the title/topic area of your idea or interests:

Briefly describe your project or project idea. (If you have already submitted an IDEAS initial proposal, you can paste the project summary here.)

Please describe what you would want a mentor (or mentors) to do. What skills and experience would you like them to have? What tasks can they help you with? Do you need someone local, or would long-distance mentoring also suit you? Think of this as a job description for your mentor.
