Lucius IV

Lucius IV filius Lucius III of House Bonisagus

Lucius the Younger, probably 80, is a formidable Bonisagus who specializes in Auram. His sole filius, Lucius III, is probably around 40. Lucius the Younger's sole filius is our protagonist, Lucius IV.

Lucius IV, like his parens and grand-parens, is brilliant, an Auram specialist, and a credit to his House and lineage.

Lucius has attracted the attention of some sort of supernatural creature. Lucius is occassionally tormented by this currently-unnamed entity. One of the two times Lucius has encountered faeries, they saw this entity. In both cases, the faeries thought very poorly of it -- and Lucius. The silver lining is that this presence, whatever it is, leaves a residue which Lucius collects and distills into Vim vis.

Lucius never mastered the aspect of "making your magic become the target" in hostile magics; this seemed to be of little interest to a Bonisagus (as opposed to, say, a Flambeau). As such, his magic tends to not penetrate well when the Animal or Corpus Forms are used.

Why exactly Lucius' magic doesn't work when he isn't in contact with the ground is a mystery, and a secret he guards closely.

Shortly after his gauntlet, Lucius IV worked with his parens for almost a year on the spell, The Unbounded Sky, InAu 50, a ritual that allows you to talk to the air, which then tells you about the goings-on within Sight of you.
