Beijing

Beijing is the capital city of China, with a population of 10.855 million. A mixture of the old and the new, it is a place that both celebrates its rich past and advances toward the future. Well-known elements of China's ancient history include the Great Wall, the Buddhist scriptures carved onto stone tablets on Shijing Mountain, the Yongle Bell, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven.

Beijing is also undergoing structural modernization, so that while certain remnants of the past are preserved, new buildings are also springing up to complement the city's growth and development. Additionally, the Beijing Economic Technological Development Area (BDA) and the Beijing Experimental Zone for the Development of New Technology Industries (BEZ) serve as focal points for numerous foreign companies and foreign invested technology enterprises.
