More Iraq WMD Postmortem
An article in the Guardian by an ex-CIA spy and Clinton-era NSC member. Nothing that hasn't been said before, but the article does a good job of presenting all the arguments in a coherent manner in one place. Essentially, the fellow claims that the intelligence agencies (even European ones) did over-estimate Saddam's capabilities, partly because of his bluster. However, the Bush administration hugely exacerbated the issue with a severe bout of selective amnesia.
Seek Inner Peace
Kind of a contemplative article about the Japanese not really wanting to compete anymore. They'd much rather slow down and smell the roses, the author claims.
Fettucini and Rotini not listed
Pasta varieties- the Boston Globe had a full page article about the
various kinds. Only the more esoteric kinds were listed. Here's another
page with the literal meanings of a larger selection. The weirdest, but quite tasty!, pasta dish I've had is pasta and curry chicken. Friends
who spent a summer or two in Switzerland invented the concept- they
couldn't find rice there and swapped pasta for rice in the meals.
