Tengboche
Day 10: Namche to Tengboche. The next morning, I woke up just before sunrise and went outside with my camera. Below is the Kwangde Ri range, rising above Namche and the mist-covered valley of the Dudh Kosi.

To the right is Ama Dablam, casting its shadow upon the sky. Below is an unnamed peak behind our lodge. Morning pictures are difficult to get right, because the sun is already so bright by the time it hits the peaks (and reflects off the snow) that it contrasts too sharply with the dark valleys. It was a magical time to be outside; these hardly begin to convey what it was like.
