Celebrate 2010 IDEAS Participants and Recognize this Year's Award-winning Teams

On Monday, May 3 teams representing student inventors from across MIT departments will participate in the annual IDEAS Competition Award Ceremony at the Raymond and Maria Stata Center.
More than 26 student teams will be competing for multiple awards of $8000, $5000, and $3000 to turn their innovation into a reality that benefits disadvantaged communities locally and around the world. Along with innovative solutions to a range of problems faced by communities, IDEAS also incorporates this year’s Muhammad Yunus Innovation Challenge to Alleviate Poverty – Promoting Clean Hands for Health and Prosperity. IDEAS staff support, along with the financial resources, will enable the teams to field-test their inventions during the year.
The awards ceremony will be preceded by poster presentations and a brief reception on the student street, and followed by refreshments.
