Gripes about SIPB and Linux
When I first got to MIT,
SIPB's preferred
Linux had just changed from Slackware to Red Hat. In my
opinion, the transition was handled poorly from a support
perspective: users asking legitimate questions about
Slackware were told to scrap their system and start over
with a supported Red Hat system. This was two years ago,
and by now everybody has gotten used to the Red Hat
systems.
