This movie plots the vorticity field of a numerical solution of 2d relativistic hydrodynamics at 2nd order in the gradient expansion.  Initial conditions were similar to those used in the gravitational simulation.  As is evident by eye, the resulting turbulent dynamics are qualitatively very similar to the gravity result, again showing clear evidence of vortex merger and an inverse cascade.
