
January of 2004 saw the return of the MIT TREX program to the island of Hawai'i.
Don Frankel (PhD,’74), Sheila Frankel (Director of TREX, Ralph M. Parsons Laboratory), and Harry Hemond (Director, R.M. Parsons Laboratory) were the instructors, along with Prof. Lisa Moore (PhD, '96) of University of Southern Maine and Prof. John Durant (PhD. '94) of Tufts University, Kaeo Duarte (PhD, '02) of University of Hawai'i, 10 MIT Civil and Environmental Engineering undergraduate students, 2 University of Southern Maine students, 2 Tufts University students, 1 University of Hawai'i student, and our teaching assistant Arthur Fitzmaurice, an MIT graduate student. Lisa, John, and Kaeo are all Parsons Alums.
