Why Naked? Why naked? To me, naked feels like freedom. A vulnerable, extra-aware freedom. A cool breeze feels good Physically and emotionally. Inside myself I'm always a little anxious. Worried about what might or might not happen. What people might think. How I might fail. When I'm naked, I shake my fist in defiance at that anxiety. When there's someone naked with me I feel extra affirmation. Naked is a little bit of nothing That adjusts the meaning of, "significant" And helps me shed my fears. After that shift, The ordinary settles into Being the simple, ordinary That it is. |
