Assault on Crumbling Lava Dam

Requires: 1 master set, 2 lava sets, 1 wall set, 2 road sets

2 players, 500 points attack, 300 points defend, 10 rounds. Setup on gray regions at opposite corners.

Special Rules: The defender wins if the game reaches the last round. The attacker wins if he can carry the rune (behind the door) back to the molten lava and drop it in. Any attacking unit can grab and carry the rune. Since this is an old fortress, the door does not have the "reenforced" ability and just rolls defense normally. Defenders may not ever stand on the rune.

Construction Details:

Theory: The attacker is given runes for initiative and speed, while the defender has a rune for range and a rune to forbid flight. Without flying units, the attacker has a much harder time. Running through the lava is risky, but the door is tough to take down.

Here are 2 armies that seem to work well. The attaker focuses on units that are hard to attack at range and ranged units with enough attack power to threaten units on the high ground. The defender focuses on units that are good at holding ground; ranged troops for the wall and samurai for guarding the rune.
