Special Rules: Whenever a one-time rune takes effect, the opposing player places it onto any free space on the board (even molten lava). When you land on a rune on molten lava, it takes effect before you die. Units with Lava Resistance cost double. Lava field damage is done differently for squads: make only one test for the entire squad -- if your roll a skull then kill one member of the squad. If you buy multiple copies of a common squad, make one lava field test per copy you have, regardless of how many figures are still alive. Molten lava tests are still done on a per-figure basis.
Theory: Fast and loose.
