Melia
I am Melia, nymph of the ash trees, born from a drop of blood that fell on the Earth. Joined to self-love and that self-confidence we are so apt to indulge, I sit still in the darkness, my heart giving forth flowers and flames. Flames ward against depletion, making fertile the ground for perpetual transformation of all living things. It is this garden within that I give to others, where life and death are bound together. Inhabit that garden and you inhabit the long view.
This base image is a painting by Kay Nielsen entitled Flowers and Flames (1921).

One of my breasts is a calm sea urchin. All rough with sharp spikes and truth, immense, joined to self-love and that self-confidence we are so apt to indulge. Joined to myself I can sit in perfect stillness, while my heart gives forth flowers and flames. The garden you see is the garden within. It is the garden that I give to others.

More than any other: a generative, generous force to move inexhaustibly through darkness. Dreaming as a way to use darkness as fertile ground, cultivating visions for what we can grow & create right where we are ...
The long view as the garden we vision ... if in our long view we spy a garden, what’s growing in it
And also -- what flames do we need to make space for this garden

Melia: nymphs of the ash trees. The tree-nymph (Melia), born from the drops of blood that fell on Earth when Cronus castrated Uranus. She holds herself always in contact to the deep intelligence of all living things.

I, Melia, nymph of the ash trees, was born from the drops of blood that fell when Cronus castrated Uranus. Those drops sank into earth and mixed into sea foam- ... one of my breasts is a calm sea urchin. All rough with sharp spikes and truth, immense, joined to self-love and that self-confidence we are so apt to indulge, I stay always in contact to the deep intelligence of all living things. Joined to myself I can sit in perfect stillness, while my heart gives forth flowers and flames. The garden you see is the garden within, the garden within is the long view. It is the garden that I give to others.

What flames do we need to make space for the garden? The tree-nymph (Melia), whose heart gives forth both flames and flowers, is at once the destroyer and creator of life. Born from a drop of blood that fell on earth, she is life and death, joined together.

Melia, nymph of the ash trees, was born from the drops of blood that fell on the earth when it stitched itself back together after the messy birth of us. She is life and death, joined together. She sits still in darkness, while her heart gives forth both flowers and flames. This garden within, she gives to others. Inhabit the garden and you inhabit the long view: flames lick away pestilent distraction; the scent of flowers on the breeze at dusk carries the deep intelligence of all living things.

I, the tree-nymph Melia, am at once the destroyer and creator of life. Born from a drop of blood that fell on earth, I am life and death, joined together. Joined to myself I can sit in perfect stillness, while my heart gives forth flowers and flames from perfect darkness. ((Flames lick ... to make space for flowers, which carry the deep intelligence and perpetual transformation of all living things. Dying from the " home in marriage" I ching.)) The garden you see is the garden within, inhabit that garden and you inhabit the long view.
