The convective season of 1996-97 was the time of an intense field experiment
including measurements by PALACE floats, current meter moorings and ship CTD
sections in the Labrador Sea. In this preliminary report, I will compare the
WOCE AR7W hydrographic measurements, hydrography as measured by a mooring, a
small sample of PALACE floats, and two current meter records from previous
years. More data from this field experiment can obviously be included at a
future time.
