ABOUT ME

I am a Mechanical Engineering PhD candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, expecting graduation Spring '21. Before joining MIT, I received a M.Sc in Aerospace Engineering from the National Higher French Institute of Aeronautics and Space (ISAE-Supaero, Toulouse, France) and a M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC-ETSEIB, Barcelona, Spain).

I conduct my research at the LIGO Laboratory, where I focus on the development of high precision, field-deployable, opto-mechanical instrumentsfor a wide range of applications. With these I intend to bridge the gap between the state-of-the-art instrumentation of research laboratories, which is usually specific to a narrow application, and the broader needs of society. My passion is to help develop these products from the early stages of design and prototyping to their final implementation.

I enjoy working on different areas of physics and engineering and therefore, over the years, I have been involved in a variety of projects, from miniature satellites and quantum metrology to machine leaning applied to spectroscopy. The intent of this website is to present these projects and hopefully make you share my interests.

Outside academics, I love travelling and sports. I like practicing taekwondo, waterpolo, soccer, tennis… almost any sport out there. And of course, as a good Mediterranean, I love the sea and diving. My next goal is to get the private pilot license!
