MIT Concert Choir

Auditions

Concert Choir auditions are held on the first Thursday of each semester from 6-8:30PM in 4-270. For Fall 2010, auditions will take place on Thursday, February 9.

If you did not audition on Thursday and are interested in joining the choir this term, please contact our director.

For auditions, we will spend approximately the first hour learning a few excerpts from the repertoire for the semester. During the second part, all members will sing in octets — two people on each part — for Bill. Each octet will take approximately ten minutes. The audition will cover just the music we learned in rehearsal. (So you don't need to have a piece prepared.)

Concert Choir auditions are fun and harmless. Even if you've never sung before, please show up if you're interested! If you have any questions about auditions, you can send mail to our Director, Bill Cutter, or to our President.

People who sang with the Concert Choir in the Fall will not need to re-audition again in the Spring; however, everybody must audition in the Fall.
