Comments: FireFly is a pioneer application of a technology that the
scientific community calls "intelligent agents". In an immersive
environments, users are given music and movie suggestions based on their
expressed preferences and are also allowed to interact with other users.
Even advertisements are ranked in terms of interest by the site's users, in
an obvious attempt to target customers with the "perfect" ads - this has
recently emerged as a polemical issue, as some claim that advertisers
should not be allowed to control how their commercials reach potential
buyers. This site is a fine example of how emerging technologies may shape
the future of the web, with an increasing level of personalization hardly
achieved by any other kinds of media. It's a promising and yet uncertain
    future.

David Bowie's site is a perfectly composited graphical representation of
the artist's most recent album. The eye-catching visuals are enriched by
animation and music, elements that have become common in recent web
    applications.
