This is page is from the website of "The Creative License"
which is a company that produces stories on cassette. They
use music and sound effects to enhance their product, and
tag this feature of their work with the buzzphrase "Almost
Real Virtuality" (ARV). Their goal is to attempt to create
a very real experience for the user while using imagination
as the vehicle. Books on cassette are not a new idea, but
the effects used by this company put a cool twist on it.
Another reason I chose this page is the discussion of media
and its affect on our technological society. Although I do
not fully relate with their completely negative viewpoint,
they do raise an interesting discussion of the relationships
between media and technology.
