The Evelyn Abdalah Menconi Memorial Cultural Series
This is the third program in a series established in 2004 to honor the
legacy of Dr. Evelyn Abdalah Menconi. In addition to her life-long career as a
dedicated teacher, principal and educational consultant, she was committed to
introducing Arab cultural traditions to the public and highlighting achievements
of gifted Arab-Americans.

The
Bassam Saba Ensemble
Originally from Lebanon, Bassam Saba moved to New York in 1990 where
he joined Simon Shaheen's Near Eastern Music Ensemble. Today, he is recognized
nationally and internationally for his masterful performance on the Nay, Flute, Oud and Violin and for his original compositions. Other performers in the
Ensemble include April Centrone - Percussionist, Matt Kilmer - Percussionist,
and Thomas Bramerie - Double Bass.
All proceeds from the sale of tickets will support
relief and reconstruction efforts in Lebanon as part of the
'Boston to Lebanon' campaign
