Note from Prof. Emit

As you may recall, the 2000 Wizard of Oz Hunt originally consisted of five rounds, each of which contained several numbered puzzles and an easy unnumbered puzzle that offered a hint for the meta. Each meta produced a username and password, both Oz-related. Be on lookout for those, but keep in mind they're likely not the real information you want from this round.

An especially large, new sixth round for this hunt has appeared in the archives, but for some reason several of the puzzles are glitched beyond recognition. All I've been been able to recover are their flavortexts, reproduced below. Unfortunately, I'm afraid I can't even tell which flavortext goes with which puzzle.

Dorothy and friends are suddenly overtaken with the urge to speak in strange ways.

"By what name are you known?"

"There are those who call me... Oscar Zoroaster Phadrig Isaac Norman Henkel Emmannuel Ambroise Diggs."

"Greetings, Oscar Zoroaster Phadrig Isaac..."

"Skip a bit, Dorothy."

"...On second thought, let's not go to the Emerald City. It is a silly place.

The Lion seems to be compensating for his cowardice again. "Put 'em up! Put 'em up! Which one of you first? I'll fight you both together if you want! I'll fight you with one paw tied behind my back! I'll fight you standing on one foot! I'll fight you with my eyes closed!"

Dorothy thinks back to the incident in the poppy field, and begins to get tired all over again. Everything around her starts looking like a good place to relax...

Toto seems indignant. He barks as if to say, "Who are you calling a little dog, Greenie?"

Dorothy stops to marvel at a map of Boston. "Golly, how on earth do people travel such great distances so quickly?"

Dorothy visits LSC, but gets bored quickly. "All that talking, talking, talking... Why, I think I'd be just as entertained watching a real stone!"

Dorothy walks out of a door, visibly shaken. "The flaming throne of Oz has nothing on some of the professors around here!"

"Just smile, nod, and agree with everything, and you'll get through just fine," a passing student advises.
