The answer is CANONIZATIONS The corresponding square is house puzzle by Kiran Kedlaya solution: Note that the words and phrases in the title fit the letter pattern ABCDECDE, and that the first letters of the words in the blurb spell BACH PRELUDE. If you play the five notes in the first line and then repeat the last three, you might recognize the opening notes of the Prelude #1 in C Major from the first book of Bach's "Well-Tempered Clavier". Each measure of this piece, aside from the last two, consists of eight notes in the pattern ABCDECDE, then the same eight notes again. Thus each measure can be specified by its first five notes; these sets of five notes are the sequences in the puzzle, in a different order. After putting the sequences back in the order they appear in the piece, the letters to the left of the colons spell THE OFFICIAL CONFERRALS OF SAINTHOOD which defines the word CANONIZATIONS. (This word can also be used to describe many of Bach's compositions.) For completeness, here is the restored sequence of measures. However, only one arrangement forms an English sentence.
