Project 1: Team exercise

In teams or pairs, create a mockup of a core tube sample device or other tool such as those used on Apollo 11 (see below). Based on what you know about the samples collected during Apollo 11 (off site web link) create a short presentation explaining why your modifications would make a tool easier/better/faster for sample collection than those used in 1969. Mockups can be 2-D or 3-D; Pearl Art in Central Square has a variety of materials you may find useful for this effort.

Your presentations (Powerpoint or Word documents) may be submitted by one team member as a homework exercise.
