Compact cabinet built from a broken oak bed frame with mortise-and-tenon joinery, router trim, and recycled casters. It later fit perfectly beneath the cantilever desk.
Rails were mortised into stiles, glued, and clamped. Insert panels were cut from scrap oak plywood.
Trim routing and staining completed by hand. Router direction had to be carefully managed to avoid tear-out.
Casters were mounted to the base, giving the cabinet mobility and a perfect fit under the later-built desk.
