Robotic Tentacle: FTC Roboctopi Demonstration Robot

June 2024-February 2025

Summary: Owned end-to-end development of a robotic tentacle, from mechanical concept through fabrication, electronics, and programming. Designed compliant mechanical structures and string-driven transmission in CAD to achieve tentacle-like motion, and fabricated and assembled a compact working prototype. Integrated electronics and string routing within tight robot packaging, and programmed controls.
