Summary: Developed autonomous control and perception software for an underwater vehicle during the MIT Beaver Works Summer Institute, where teams had four weeks to complete a competitive AUV tagging challenge. Implemented PID control, Apriltag detection and tracking, and autonomous navigation using ROS. Demonstrated system effectiveness in the final competition, where our AUV successfully located and tagged the opposing vehicle before being tagged itself.
