In 1851, a laborer, living at Groeswen with his wife Mary and their children John, Mary, Jennett, William, Catherine, Ann, and Joseph. At his daughter Mary's marriage in Feb 1861, a coal miner. In Apr 1861, a coal miner, living at Groeswen with his wife Mary and their children William, Ann, and Howell. In 1871, an agricultural laborer, living at Groeswen with his wife Mary, their children Catherine and William, and Catherine's son William. In 1881, a coal miner, living at 6 Groeswen Ganol (i.e. 6 Middle Groeswen) with his son Howell and Howell's wife and son. At her marriage in Feb 1861, of Taibach, unable to sign her name; Hopkin DAVIES and Eleanor FRANCIS witnessed the marriage (neither could sign).
