Cicada nymph

folded from an uncut square

We found a lot of their discarded shells on the trees in Japan. This is one model that would still look OK if the back split open while you were folding it!

I finished this model looking at the a real cicada shell, which I brought back from Japan. (I hope cicada shells are not restricted items) The segments of the body were formed in a similar way to the main sails of the Kraken boat. CP to be released later. Special thanks to Mr. Kamiya for suggesting a border graft to allow for the realistic 'nose' area and feet. please, have a look at his nymph as well.
