Arsam Aryandoust is a Postdoctoral Researcher at MIT’s Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems, where he leverages AI to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon energy system. Building on his doctoral work at ETH Zurich in AI for renewable power, he focuses on developing safe and secure machine learning tools, such as active deep learning for electric load forecasting and data‐driven traffic modeling, to deliver immediate, real‐world impact. Passionate about expanding the community of engineers working at this vital intersection, he mentors students and contributes open‐source software to support AI‐driven climate solutions.

Arsam enjoys the practice of various athletic disciplines to balance long days of work at the computer. Guided by a deep moral imperative, he believes that harnessing AI is essential to safeguard ecosystems, protect billions of lives, and ensure a just, rapid transition to sustainable energy.
