Homework
- Please turn in up front.
- Altered format and size so that it should be able to print now.
- PLEASE staple when turning in the HW or LAB reports!!!!
- Tuesday cycle?
The class voted to have the Homework due on Tuesday mornings instead of Thursday. Thus, the homework assigned today will be due on Tuesday.
Lab
Let's Talk about it....
- How do you optimize a catenary?
- How do you find the perfect angle for a truss?
- How do you optimize the members of a truss?
- YOU must supply a "ring." [a loading point] and all bridge building materials.
- The scale will be available to weigh "structural elements" by finding the TA - Michelle (Studio 7)
- Weights will be available in 5-418 during daytime working hours.
- Bridge "abutment" is only 18 inches wide.
- The free span is 30 inches - thus be sure to make your bridge longer than 30 inches. The maximum length is 38 inches.
