Performing a Peer Review
Observe the following general strategies in reviewing a colleague's document.
- Start by praising what the document does well.
- Spend much of your time responding to the author's specific requests.
- Avoid performing an editorial review, unless asked
to by the author. Do not focus on spelling and mechanics. Instead, focus on helping the author revise
organization and content.
- Do not just criticize. Make suggestions on how to solve the problems you notice in
