I'm a rising senior at MIT majoring in math. Right now, I am interested in things which feel discrete and structural. I am applying to graduate school this fall.

whereabouts
- This summer, I will be at MIT, working on a project at the intersection of algebraic geometry and homotopy theory with Natalia Pacheco-Tallaj. In addition, you can find me at the M2 Workshop at UMN, continuing my work on ASM varieties.
- During summer 2022, I participated in the Twin Cities REU. (The reports are rough, the preprints are coming soon.)
- My first project was on Polarizations of Strongly Stable Ideals, mentored by Dr. Ayah Almousa, joint with Hanson Hao and Sterling Saint Rain. We gave a talk at JMM 2023 in the Commutative Algebra section. Report here, preprint forthcoming.
-
My second project was on the Cohen-Macaulayness of ASM varieties, mentored by Prof. Patricia Klein, joint with Ilani Axelrod-Freed, Hanson Hao, and Matthew Kendall. We participated in the 2023 JMM Undergraduate Poster Session. Report here, preprint forthcoming.
- Spring 2022, I worked on a project on padded Schubert polynomials with Dr. Anna Weigandt.
- During summer 2021, I particupated in the MIT SPUR program. My project was the explicit construction of the Hecke character
associated to some specified classes of CM elliptic curves. You can find my final project report here.
- In 2019, I participated in MIT PRIMES-USA as a high school student. The topic was minimal percolating sets for mutating infectious diseases, and I was mentored by Prof. Laura Schaposnik. The paper was published in Physical Review
Research, and appeared in the COVID-19 collection. I took part in the 2020 JMM Undegraduate Student Poster Session with this project and received the Outstanding Poster Presentation designation.
activities
- I was a mentor for MIT PRIMES-Circle 2022 and 2023. Some of their work has been posted
here.
-
In January 2023, I co-taught a month-long course on Covering Theory in Algebra and Geometry, with Rushil Mallarapu. Here is the course website.
-
Since Spring 2021, I have been a part of the Council for Math Majors, working on initiatives to further diversity and equity in the department at the undergraduate level. I was also part of the department's Diversity Comm in 2022 and 2023.
- I participated in MIT's Directed Reading Program over IAP 2022, 2023. In 2022, my project was on Topological Data Analysis, and in 2023, my project was on Algebraic Curves.
- I participated in Canada/USA Mathcamp in 2018, 2019, and 2020. In 2020, I taught a class titled Dominant Eigenvalues and
Directed Graphs. Notes here.
- In 2019 and 2020, I have served as one of the lead instructors at Coders4Tomorrow, an initiative which I co-founded teaching introductory
Python to underserved students, in collaboration with the Kent District Library.
