4.5 cups bread flour 1 pkg quick-rising dry yeast 1.5 cups warm water (120-130F) 3.5 Tbsp granulated sugar 2 tsp salt Mix 2 cups of the flour and the yeast. Add the water (not too hot, but warmer than "warm"), sugar, and salt; stir until well mixed. Mix in the remaining flour, knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let sit covered for 15-20 minutes. Cut into rolls or twists and place on baking sheet, let sit for another 15 minutes. Baste with melted butter. Place in 375F oven with a bowl of hot water and bake for 15 minutes. Baste with more butter a few minutes before removing.
