SPaik's abridged guide to Chinese characters
Yep, for those of you that can't read the counter out front, I've made this
just for you:
- A single horizontal dash that looks like: "-" means "1"
- Two horizontal dashes (looking like "=") means "2"
- Three horizontal dashes means "3"
- A box with two strokes in it means "4"
- A capital "I" with a little box in the lower right means "5"
- A stick figure of a human means "6"
- An "L" with a dash through it (reminds me of an upside down 7) means "7"
- Two vertical bars that are slanted towards each other, kinda like "/ \"
means "8"
- None of the above, but looks like an "L" rotate 180 degrees, with a
vertical slash through it means "9"
- A "+" sign means "10
Okay, I hope this helps y'all to read the counter out front. Unfortunately,
that's about the extent of my knowledge with Chinese characters! Yeah, yeah,
I know I'm supposed to know something like 200 characters by now, but since I
never use them, I don't remember them! (Would you use something like this?)
