Christina's Out of Date Home Page
cdemello@mit.edu
In 1998 I really thought I might find time to update my webpages. Two kids and a busy career later, I know I was wrong.
I figure it is probably about time that I updated my homepage, so this
is of course (like everything else on the web) a work in progress.
To maintain some temporary consistency, those links I have had on
my homepage are included below.
Why bother?
Between work, and work, and even more work it seems I rarely have time
to do anything fun anymore. Of course, that is not Oracle's fault - but my own. My desire to succeed has translated into way
too many 60-80 hour work weeks. So I've decided to take the time
to update my homepage and do some web related work for fun again (and maybe
I'll even manage to finally update the college and university listing).
Yes, you read right. I do web related work for Oracle, but not for the
corporate page at http://www.oracle.com/
, but rather the Oracle Worldwide Customer Support Services (WCSS) site
at http://support.oracle.com/
- soon to be followed by mirror sites in Singapore and the UK. My
work relates to the design and development of the site from a technology
standpoint - so please no comments on the look&feel; I leave that to
the more artistic people in the world. In addition to the web site,
I also work on the integration of various internal systems not only amongst
themselves but with corporate wide and external entities.
I'm not quite sure what I'll end up putting here yet, but for now you
can still read more personal information
about me.
Links from the previous incarnation of my homepage:
-
Since I could not find a completely comprehensive
list of Colleges and Universities from all over the world, I decided
to create my own. As stated above.
-
William Chuang maintains a list
of recipes and other cooking links - not that I have as much time to
cook as I would like to!
-
I am changing my link to a list of 800
numbers for the airlines.
-
The SIPB home page
gives access to many services at MIT as well as links to the outside world.
-
The official MIT Home
Page has been up and running for some time now. When I was still at
MIT I helped to design the original layout, but it has gone through many
modifications since then. If you really don't like the layout/format, or
have suggestions on improving it, send mail to web-request@mit.edu.
-
To get to transcripts from many network news and talk shows
you just need to look at the Journal
Graphics database. Choose menu #67.
-
Scott Yanoff, at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee,
also keeps an uptodate list of Special
Internet Connections .
-
Techinfo, and a wide variety of other info, can also be accessed
via the MIT Gopher.
-
More links will be added over time as I find useful info
that other major pages haven't already created links for, or when I get
tired of continually manually entering a particular URL or calling it up
from my hotlist. Like the SEC
Online Filings.
