The Comedy of Errors
Directed by Paolo DiFabio
Synopsis
A story of a merchant (Antipholus of Syracuse, a twin) who, with the help of his adopted brother (Dromio of Syracuse, another twin), travels to Ephesus in search of their twin counterparts. Their misadventures are completely unknown to Antipholus of Ephesus (twin to Antipholus of Syracuse), whose marriage troubles cause considerable headaches for his adopted brother, Dromio of Ephesus (twin to Dromio of Syracuse).
All this is during a time where the penalty for a merchant from one city visiting the other is death.
This is classic Shakespearean comedy, with hardly a scene going by without hapless characters getting deeper and deeper into the confusion of mistaken identity and apparent lies. So, come see a duke, a nun, twins, merchants, swords, ropes, chains, and more!
