I'm a postdoctoral associate at MIT Linguistics, where I got my PhD in August 2023. Before coming to the US, I studied linguistics at the Scuola Normale Superiore and the University of Pisa. My main research interests are in syntax and morphology—especially anything to do with agreement, case, and identity avoidance.
My name is pronounced [stanizˈlao dzomˈpi]. It is spelled with a grave accent on the final i. (I myself have been inconsistent in this regard; now I'm trying to fix that.)
