I am a final-year Ph.D. student at Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at MIT, advised by Prof. Dina Katabi.
I also work closely with Prof. Marzyeh Ghassemi (MIT) and Prof. Shwetak Patel (UW).
I received my B.S. with honors from Peking University.
My research is supported by Takeda Fellowship, Baidu Fellowship, and MathWorks Fellowship.
My research lies in the intersection of machine learning and applications in human disease, health and medicine.
-
AI for Disease and Medicine: I work on using AI to enable discovery of digital biomarkers for complex human diseases, from early diagnosis [Nature Medicine'22] to longitudinal progression tracking [Science Trans. Medicine'22].
-
Intelligent & Accessible Health Sensing: I build AI systems for healthcare delivery beyond clinics, e.g., in-home health & disease monitoring [UbiComp'20, Front. Psychiatry'21], camera-based contactless vitals sensing [ICLR'23 oral].
-
Trustworthy & Equitable ML: I develop reliable ML algorithms that are deployable in high-stakes applications, focusing on fairness [ICML'21 oral, ICML'23] and generalization [NeurIPS'20, ECCV'22] across populations and real shifts.
I am on the 2023-2024 academic job market.
