Emily Meghan Morrow Howe

Emily Meghan Morrow Howe, MA, is the Coordinator of the MIT Program in Women's Studies, where she schedules and coordinates the women's studies classes at MIT; works with students, staff, and faculty to plan events on gender and women's studies and feminist theory; manages the women's studies office (14E-316); works with and oversees the women's studies student staff; and advises students about the women's studies major, minor, and concentration. She received her master's degree in Gender/Cultural Studies from Simmons College in Boston, in 2002. Emily's master's thesis considers performances of race and gender in contemporary American children's literature. Emily's other academic interests include the politics of race, class, gender, and sexuality in contemporary U.S. literature, art, sub-cultures, pop culture, and film.

Nicole is a senior majoring in physics. She spends most of her time on physics classes and her physics UROP but in what little reamains she is involved in her sorority (Alpha Phi), LGBT@MIT, and occasionally musical theater. She will be attending Stanford University for her PhD.

Sometimes she is struck with unreasonable urges to code which she usually suppresses successfully.
