Free Exams for Students, Youngsters, and Active Members or Veterans of the US Military

The MIT Radio Exam Team is pleased to announce that if you are under 18, are a current high school or college student (up to age 25) with school ID, or are an active duty servicemember or veteran of the US military, we are now able to administer your amateur radio license exam at no cost to you! Simply reply to the confirmation e-mail you received after registering for your exam session to let us know which situation applies to you; do not use the payment button below.

Paying for your exam session with the MIT Radio Exam Team

The MIT Radio Exam Team offers in-person and fully-remote amateur radio license exams under the coordination of the GLAARG VEC. Information about what it’s like to take a fully-remote ham exam with us can be found in our Remote Examinee Info Packet.
