Strangers from distant lands, friends of old... Welcome!
I am a final-year PhD candidate at MIT's Operations Research Center, advised by Prof. Dimitris Bertsimas.
I am broadly interested in analytics, machine learning, and optimization, focusing on their application to sustainability and renewable energy integration. In terms of methodology, my work leverages optimization, particularly mixed-integer, robust, and convex, and aims at developing scalable algorithms that address central problems in machine learning and big-data analytics. In terms of applications, my focus is on sustainability and, specifically, renewable energy integration; click here to find out more about the above, as well as other applications I have worked on.
Besides MIT, my journey has included the Alexa Entertainment Spoken Language Understanding team at Amazon Science, where I spent the 2021 summer as a Research Scientist Intern, and the Technical University of Crete, Greece, where I earned my Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2018(Valedictorian). I am originally from the beautiful city of Chania, Crete, Greece (see header image).
