Biography

Danail Traskov is a postdoctoral associate in the Network Coding and Reliable Communications Group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received the BS degree from Technical University Darmstadt in 2004, the MS degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2006, and the PhD degree (Dr.-Ing.) from Technical University Munich in 2010, all in Electrical Engineering. He interned at Bell Labs Research in summer 2006. In his thesis, he looked at designing network coding algorithms for the multiple access layer in wireless networks. Recently, his focus has been on the applications of network coding and the impact on communication systems and standards.
