Time-Dependent Quantum Mechanics and Spectroscopy

These are notes on time-dependent quantum mechanics developed for a graduate level chemistry course that focuses on condensed phase spectroscopy, dynamics, and relaxation. The topics include perturbation theory, two-level systems, light-matter interactions and spectroscopy, relaxation in quantum systems, correlation functions, linear response theory, and nonlinear spectroscopy. The original notes as presented in the class are posted on MITís OpenCourseWare site and are available for use under MITís license. Since the course content changes, I post the most recent and complete PDF version of the notes here. Also included are MathCad 14 worksheets (as XMCD or PDF) to illustrate some of the material.

Notes and resources on nonlinear and 2D spectroscopy can be accessed here.
