3rd Annual MIT Salsa Social (May 17, 2008): Pictures
Another amazing annual social at MIT hosted by MIT Salsa Club. Hundreds of dancers from the community. Awesome performances by Rumba y Timbal and Boston Rueda. DJ D. Martinez keeping it hot on the floor all night!





Cultural Care Au Pair Kids First Fundraiser (February 8, 2007): Pictures
A great night of salsa dancing for a cause! All proceeds from the benefit were donated to Kids First, a charity dedicated to helping at-risk children in South Africa, Brazil and New Orleans.




MIT Salsa Club Holiday Gala (December 15, 2007): Pictures
The big end of the year holiday party, celebrating the holiday season, the semester break and--most importantly--the end of MITSC's fall lesson term! DJ Martinez was there, keeping the place moving all night. Over 200 people in attendance!




Second Annual MIT Salsa Social (May 19, 2007): Pictures
Our second social, with over 370 people in attendance! A great night of dancing and performances by Boston's own Salsa y Control and Rumba y Timbal. Special thanks to all volunteers!





MIT Humanities Library Bookmobile (April, 2007): Lewis Music Library Salsa Holdings
In January 2007, the Lewis Music Library consulted with Chris about updating their music library's salsa holdings. Within two months, the library had shelved 20 new salsa cds and a few salsa history books. In April, the Salsa Club was asked to dance at the Lewis Music Library's Bi-Annual Bookmobile to promote Latin music, dance and culture on campus.




Andona Society "Sizzling Salsa Gala" Fundraiser (March 3, 2007): Pictures, Video and Press
The Andona Society is a 50-year-old charitable society in Andover, MA that raises money for
youth programs. The Salsa Club helped coordinate their "Sizzling Salsa Gala" fundraising event,
which included a dance performance
and group lessons. The society raised $8000 throughout the night.




Simmons Hall "Simmons Says Salsa" Event (Dec. 1, 2006):
A cultural event organized by Simmons Hall to celebrate salsa music history and dance.

dance lesson and party!
Dana-Farber's Latino-American Heritage Month (Sept. 18-26, 2006):
Dana-Farber asked Chris to teach two weeks of lessons for its Latino-American Heritage celebration.

provided by Camino Real Restaurant, an excellent Colombian restaurant
