Our purpose is to spread the joy of salsa dancing throughout MIT and beyond. Our philosophy is simple: we believe that all dances were originally created by communities to be shared by them. We believe that everyone should have access to the joy and sociability that salsa dancing engenders. Consequently, we are not a dance company, we are a dance community. And all of our lessons are offered to the community for FREE!
Lessons are available for those wishing to learn the basic steps and for dancers with experience who wish to add new moves to their repertoires. Beginner (level 1) and advanced beginner (level 2) lessons are available Mondays and Tuesdays of every week. The club’s lessons are always challenging; yet the learning atmosphere is regarded by many students as one of the most professional, friendly and easygoing lesson environments available.
If you would like to take our lessons, please join our email list, check our lesson schedules and drop in whenever you want!
From all of us here at MIT Salsa Club, we look forward to welcoming new members to our club and to the salsa community within MIT and beyond!
