Dear potential wedding guests, We are making block reservations at several different hotels for our wedding guests. Please let us know (within the next week) your plans and preferences for where you will stay each night of your trip. (The wedding is the afternoon of Sunday July 15th). The block reservations cover arriving as early as Friday 7/13/07 and departing as late as Monday 7/16/07. For other days, you are on your own! These block reservations don't actually reserve you a room, they just make sure there will be rooms for you to reserve yourself. You should book rooms as soon as you know your plans, as things can fill up quickly for the summer months. All of these places give you a discount for being part of a block reservation; ask for rooms under the "Auerbach/Seater Wedding". Transportation information is also listed below, please let us know what you plan to do for transportation as well (e.g. Do you plan to rent a car or use shuttle services? Do you need help finding a ride to share?). If know you will not be able to attend or if you are still unsure whether or not you will be coming, please let us know that as well. We need to start getting a more exact idea of numbers for the ceremony and meals. ---------------------------- HOTELS: ---------------------------- (A) BEECHWOOD HOTEL: in Worcester, full-service five star hotel, includes continental breakfast surprisingly cheap for how amazingly nice it is 45 minute drive to Harding-Allen Estate 60-90 minutes by car to Boston and Logan Airport 363 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605 (508) 754-5789 1 King Bed + foldout couch for 2 - $139/night (good for a family with small children) 2 Queen Beds + foldout couch for 2 - $149/night Executive Jr Suite + foldout couch for 2 - $189/night (B) WORCESTER COURTYARD: in Worcester, more modest hotel, limited dining and service 45 minute drive to Harding-Allen Estate 60-90 minutes by car to Boston and Logan Airport 72 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605 (508) 363-0300 1 king bed - $99.00 plus tax 2 queen beds - $109.00 plus tax. There is a limo from the airport to Worcester for $131 for several people. You can contact them at (508) 839-6252 or www.knightslimo.com Through Enterprise cars can be rented from Worcester ($15 and up/day . We managed to find a quote of $50 for the entire weekend), the Boston airport ($65 and up/day), or Malden ($30 and up/day). There is an Enterprise right across the street from the Beechwood hotel. If you are planning on staying in Worcester and renting a car, we recommend that you take the shuttle out to Worcester and renting the car out there, as it is significantly cheaper. We are expecting people to fly into Logan Airport in Boston, but you may also want to consider flying into T.F. Green in Providence, Rhode Island or Bradley in Hartford, Connecticut, as they are about the same distance from Worcester. Knight.s will also provide transportation to and from those airports. We are going to try to arrange transportation between the Worcester hotel and the Wedding location. If we are unable to have transportation for people, we recommend that people rent a car for the day and carpool with each other. Stuff is far away; don.t take taxis. For directions to the Harding Allen Estate itself, see their website: http://www.harding-allen.com/howto.htm ---------------------------- PROCEDURE: ---------------------------- Here is the procedure: This week: Tell us which location and form of transportation you plan to use for each night of your stay.
