About Me
"There's a time when a man needs to fight and a time when he needs to accept that his destiny's lost, the ship has sailed and that only a fool will continue. The truth is I've always been a fool." - Big Fish
I was born and brought up in a small village called Jawala in the Maharashtra state in India, where my father is a teacher of mathematics and science in a secondary school, the same school where I studied till 7th standard. It is an enchanting place blessed by nature with the thoughts of great saints embodied into its very soul. Having experienced the country so closely, it was quite natural that its culture and values got engraved into my mind.
Almost all the members of my family being in the teaching profession in the fields of mathematics and science, the love for these branches came to me as a kind of hereditary characteristic. This led to me going to IIT Kharagpur for my undergraduate degree in Electronics. IIT introduced me not only to the best of the technological knowledge that India had to offer, but also to the diverse cultures through my friends from all the different parts of the country.
Being an Indian, I suppose the love for Cricket is a part of my DNA. I love playing Cricket whenever possible and watching the Indian Cricket team win. I also enjoy watching Baseball and Football.
I like reading novels and sketching. I am a big fan of Salman Rushdie's novels and the fascinating historical accounts by Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre. Also, Philately and Numismatics are the areas of great interest to me. My collection of Postal Stamps include stamps from all around the world. My coin collection also has some of the rare coins from India as well as other countries.
I am greatly interested in Photography. I like taking pictures of anything and everything and processing them as well. I am currently exploring Computational Photography as a means to unite my world of research and my passion for photography.
