The key conflict often lies within the heroes' hearts.
- Heroes must overcome grief, anger, insecurity. Example: Cloud of FF VII.
- Cloud was being destroyed by
his dishonesty about himself
(He was trying to make himself out to be a hero
to hide his insecurity about himself)
- To save the world and his friends, first
he had to win against himself
- The key in the battle against himself was
his desire to save others
- Only after winning against himself could Cloud succeed
in saving the world.
