Solution to Only Carmen Sandiego Explores Nigh Unstoppably

Authors: Teasha Feldman-Fitzthum and James Wiken

Step 1: Identify the pictures. This can be done with google reverse image search. Almost every single one will return either what it is, or a page with the picture that is tangentially related. All are identifiable. If some are more dificult they can be easily figured out once the solver has started looking at the UNESCO sites. For the more difficult ones, the picture clipping is directly from the UNESCO site so it shouldn't be impossible. The pictures are presented alphabetically by the oficial name on the UNESCO site. Once identified the list should be:

Alhambra
Ancient City of Ping Yao
Archaeological Ensemble of Merida
Bisotun
Blaenavon Industrial Complex
Castles and Town Walls of King Edward and Gwynedd
Cologne Cathedral
Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape
Derwent Valley Mills
Durham Castle and Cathedral

Step 2: Associate the UNESCO reference number with each site. These are listed on the site's pages and also it is the URL. For each site the webpage is whc.unesco.org/en/list/### where ### is the reference number for each site.

The list should then look like:
(314) Alhambra
(812) Ancient City of Ping Yao

With north pointing up, the paths draw out numbers for compasses with zeros on them and letters for compasses with O's on them.
